one of my radiators have developed a leak, at the junction of a small piece of pipe that is coming from the back of it, sorry this is not my area so I don't know the correct term, but this small piece of pipe is actually part of the radiator, I suspect it is welded in place on the inside and has corroded, despite being only 5 years old.,to clarify the central heating pipe goes into it and is fastened with a nut.It is not leaking at the nut. I do not want to replace the radiator and would appreciate any expertise on how to seal the leak myself, and with what? Meanwhile as I am running the system at present, I have shut this particular rad off at its thermostat, will this prevent the system from draining down through this leak?

Dempsey's are hard to put other fish with...from personal experience i never was able to house them with other fish that's one of the reasons i don't keep them anymore....if you wanted to try i would say maybe there are 2-3 fish that are just as "tough" as the Dempsey's. one being the Red Devil two being the Jaguar cichlid and three would be the Texas cichlid...the only problem with having these fish mixed together is that there all predatory fish and will constantly fight even the two Dempsey's if their both males they will fight when they hit maturity as well and it will be a disaster for you...they also have a problem with digging up plants and moving the gravel around and what their actually doing is marking the territory already so don't be surprised if they start to fight sooner than later...i hope this was a help to you and good luck!

One of my gerbils is acting strange and it's scaring me :(?

So, usually my male gerbil, Tom, is very active and he'll get on the wheel forever and dig and burrow, and move and play just nonstop. He's just a tiny ball of energy. Well, I'm staying at a friends house and my mom said that she probably would forget to feed my gerbils, so I was like ok, cool and I took them with me. My friend showed me to the room where I could keep them in, but it was cold in there and the gerbils would stay on a high dresser close to the ceiling vent. But I let them stay anyways. So within a couple of hours, I checked back and tried interacting with them. Tom didn't move and his eyes were closed and if he opened them, they weren't open all the way, and his fur was kind of sticking up and moist...he let me pet him and he slowly drifted to sleep again. He won't move, and when I try to give him a little push, he won't budge and just squeaks as if to say "leave me alone". I mean, that was a while ago, he's still the same, he went on his wheel once or twice, but not as fast or energetic as usual and he did get up and open his eyes and let the other gerbil, Jerry, groom him, he seems very sleepy and comfortable though, he yawns and stretches, but doesn't go into his home, he just lays in the open. Also, THE WATER BOTTLE WON'T STOP LEAKING OMG!?! and when I cleaned their cage for the first time with windex yesterday. Pregnant and right arm hurting normal?

Im almost 25 weeks pregnant and I am having trouble with my right arm. Both of my hands keep falling asleep when I lay down it gets worse. My right arm seems worse my wrist gets to hurting and then I get sharp pains up and down my whole arm. Both of my hands keep swelling and going numb but my right arm does it worse I even had to take my ring off that hand cause it was digging in to my finger. Hi, I just got my retainer on yesterday. Ive been wearing it, but the bump metal part on the front of my retainer has been digging into my gum. -----U------U----- (pretend that was on my teeth, and one of the bumps is digging into my gum.) Why does my tire leak air?

I have a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr and my front driver side tire keeps going flat. When I bought the car the tire was flat and I thought no big deal and filled it up. it sounds like hes very frustrated, i have a collie greyhound cross and they need at least two hours walking every day, with lots of running. greyhounds are known as 30 mph couch potatoes as they have a mad half hour when they run like crazy and then sleep all day and are very calm with the right exercise. it is not fair to get a greyhound and then say they are untrainable because nobody takes the time to look after them properly, going out in the garden is not a walk he needs to go for a good long run out in a big field.

Well for starters "looks good" isn't good enough.You need to remove both battery cables at both ends and clean the connections as a very first step.Then i advise you get a cheap volt meter.With it you can check for resistance in the battery cables themselves.A cable can look good and still be bad inside.Set it to ohms and put a test lead at each end of the cable.There shouldn't be any resistance.Hook everything back up turn the key and and check the voltage at the starter solenoid.It should read about the same voltage at the starter end of the cable as it does at the battery.For that the meter should be set to dc voltage and 20 volts if it's not an auto ranging meter.Make sure the black test lead is on a good ground on the bike.Start by doing all that and get back to us with the results.The fact your getting a click means it wants to crank over.It either is suffering from a low voltage problem at the starter or the solenoid or starter is bad.Also did you try tapping on the solenoid lightly to see if it makes a difference?

I currently have a cattle dog mix who will catch squirrels without even injuring them, but I used to have two terriers who would kill and eat lizards, birds, snakes, mice, rats, etc. Basically anything that would fit in their mouth. I think it depends a lot on the dog, and maybe the breed. Terrier were bred to kill rodents, but cattle dogs are supposed to herd and keep safe the flock. Fuel to truck cutting out while accelerating?

just bought an old f150. test drive went good, what we didnt notice until after we bought it was that after it heats up something with the fuel starts to cut out. the more you accelerate the more it cuts out like its starving for gas. the lady replaced the fuel pump last october (im assuming she thought that was the problem, and couldnt figure it out after that so thats why she sold it) and she also replaced the fuel filter at the same time. i put on a new fuel filter anyways yesterday and noticed the old one was on backward. new plugs and wires, new coil. i heard from a mechanic now it could be either the ignition control module in the distributor or the fuel pump relay and eec relay old and corroded. before i spend any more money on this 800$ truck i would like some more ideas please? i do believe that it is something electrical because it is most apparent when the vehicle heats up. thanks

HVAC repair or replace entire unit?

Our house is 9yr old and we moved into it last yr. Have a Rheem 2.5ton, 10 seer HVAC unit, Model no: RAMB 030JBZ. I was a freshman for the year '10-'11. I made varsity. If you show the coach that you are willing to listen and take any advice that the coach gives you, they will keep their eye on you, and will definitely consider you, to be ON the team, you have to show the coach that you actually TAKE her advice and suggestions and use it, and try to improve your skills. Also ask a lot of questions . When they give you advice, over emphasize. For example, if your coach tells you too keep your arms straight, then make it a little straighter than you naturally or usually would, just to show the coach that you are really trying and listening. :) that's what i did, they moved me up from junior varsity tryouts, to varsity tryouts, and i made varsity, not because i was outstandingly great, but because i showed that i was cooperative, got along with the other players, and listened well and didn't give the coaches any trouble.

What would cause a 96 3.0 6cyl. caravan (base model) to stumble and stall out on acceleration?

I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, and both O2 sensors (diagnostic ran at the car lot where I got it said O2 Sensor but he said it didn't say which one). I have a 1981 c3 corvette, its got 70000 miles on it, problem is it starts right up and runs strong but the tranny only goes into neutral and park. Alternator won't charge my car?

I've tried everything I can possibly think of. First, I replaced the alternator. No go. Still died. Okay, so I replaced the battery. Still died. Okay, so I take it to my mom's friend (mechanic for 38 years), and he noticed my wiring is really corroded. He finds three electrical shorts and fixes them. I get a new battery and alternator again. Still died. Now we get a new ground cable that connects to (I think he said the air conditioning) to draw power from the engine. Still died. He has a tester (2 of them) and it's always saying that the alternator is indeed charging. But clearly something else is wrong. The car used to indicate some signs before it died, like the speedometer moving a lot, or the radio turning off while driving. But it just died now and showed NO signs that it was going to die. But it did. The car never turns off while driving, only once I turn it off, then try to turn it back on. Nothing is working, I really need help, please! When I try to turn my car on all I get is clicking and the lights dim. We thought maybe something is draining the battery, but that doesn't make sense because when I drive, the alternator should charge my battery, but it clearly is not and I don't know why. I took a needle and poked my ingrown hair and white stuff came out what does it mean?

1999 gmc jimmy starting problem?

Brakes making a noise when pressing pedal, or e-brake one click?

My car has been making a noise in the rear when I step on the brake for awhile. I finally got around to taking the drum off today and cleaned up the rust ridge around where the shoes touch, and where the drum tucks in under the dust plate - which didn't help it. Why can't a get my hose to screw onto my spigot and not leak?

I've tried 3 different hoses and new washers, but no matter what I do I can't tighten the hose enough to make it not leak when I turn the water on. The spigot isn;t what's leaking, its from where the hose connects to the spigot. It's alomost like the threads are different so I can only screw it on a little bit but not enough to tighten against the washer and get the seal. Do they make different threads? Or is my spigot just old and corroded so much that the new hoses can't screw onto it well?

I would try removing the gas valve assembly and thoroughly inspect the connections for dirt and corrosion. Try blowing compressed air in the opposite direction to normal flow. If there is an adjustment to the pilot light height, your problem could be in that circuit.

We have a 2004 25 pro line walkaround which has nothing to do with the problem but anyway when I hit the left trim switch the left engine shuts down and we have to switch both batteries to all position and start it or trim the engine we replaced the batteries and the voltage is running at 14.1 to 14.7 when running which is normal I got some advice that the connections are corroded and one anode connection was but I don't know if that's the entire problem. Also when I turn on any accesory the trim gauge stops working and the fuel gauge gives a false reading. I hate making starting our boat up a 3 minute process in stead of just turning the key so help me out here.

I checked my fuses they were fine. Checked for loose wires they were fine. I tried to see if connections on the switch upfront at the horn or the turn signal switch section were corroded and they all looked fine. Bad starter solenoid, starter, or something else?

I have a 97 toyota camry. Had trouble starting the car 2 months ago, got the battery/alternator/starter tested at advance auto parts, the test said the starter and alternator were fine, but the battery was bad(4yrs old). Replaced the battery that day and the car started fine ever since. For a week or two now, I have had to turn the key 5-10(or more) times for it to start. Sometimes it will start on the first or second try, but usually I have to try starting it for a couple of minutes. When I turn and hold the key to start it, I hear a buzzing sound and it doesn't start. When it eventually DOES start, it either A) starts up immediately when I turn the key all way(as if nothing was wrong) or B) it tries to turn the engine over for 1-4 key turns, and then on the last turn it starts. Once it's started, it runs fine. I had it tested at advance auto parts again yesterday, and this time it said the battery and alternator were fine, but the starter test said "starter amp draw is low with ok starter voltage. Check starter circuit for loose, worn or corroded wiring." (The car also started on the first try when they were testing the starter.) What do you think is most likely the problem (starter solenoid, starter, wiring, etc)? I'm taking it to a mechanic tomorrow, but I was hoping to get a better idea of what's wrong so I can get a semi-accurate repair estimate. Any help is appreciated! :)

I've been working out for a while now (6 months). I originally weighed 145 pounds and I'm now 140, but it's because I've gained a ton of muscle in addition to my fat loss. My legs are really muscular and I'm honestly not digging it. I really don't want to have so much muscle....I rather be slimmer instead of bulkier with muscle. I'm 5'5 and almost 17. I'm really curvy (as in hourglass shaped, not fat!) but I want to slim down instead of having a bunch of muscle. I still have a bit of belly fat that I need to lose, but I already know what I can change in my diet to improve that (such as cutting down on the sweets...) Why does the fuse in my power cord keep getting corroded?

I think that the ballast is messed up it tends to kill bulbs quicker than normal and you can see the light lit up and rings moving up and down the tube (t8) but it does light up in a good amount of time (although one tube lights faster than the other) or could it be a problem with the contacts being a bit corroded?

I know the feeling! Honestly the only thing that helped my unemployment depression was finding a job. I get paid just above minimum wage but just getting that pay check every two weeks is wonderful. I love the feeling I get when all the bills are paid and there is a little extra left over! I say keep applying, and don't be afraid to work at a store, restaurant, etc. I wouldn't do fast food but those are just my standards. I actually really like my job (work at Walmart) so you can enjoy a lower end job. Then you might want to think about going back to school. There are thousands of careers, you can be happy and still make money! Consider the short-term first, an example is nursing which takes one year (LPN) and pays up to $20 per hour to start depending on where you live. Also I would recommend not listing your education. Half the time employers won't research that sort of thing. It might hurt your chances. I told Walmart I'd been to college and they didn't even want details, to get hired you just have to be liked. IPhone 3GS....water damaged?

Soo around 8 months ago I dropped my iPhone in the toilet....how stupid right..... I let it dry out for 8 months because I forgot about it.... Sooo yesterday I plugged it in and the battery doesnt charge and there is no back light.... I looked it up and it said the cord to the screen is corroded or the bulb is burnt out.... Are Septic Tanks really that bad for the environment?

A few months ago we had to have our septic Tank replaced and whenever the crew came out they dug out around the tank and then they picked it up with their crane and then just dumped it out in the yard and used their tools and spread the sludge around the yard and then they said just wait a while and this will make your grass grow great and sure enough a month later the grass was so green and thick and nice, which makes me think if they just dumped that stuff out then how is a septic tank so horrible for the environment? These guys were professionals too, they dig out and put in tanks five days a week all year long all over this state and others, They had cranes and a ton of equipment and were done in just a couple hours, and the only damage done was the hole that they had to refill for the tank.
