How to change brake light socket on 96 Camry?

Hi, my brake light socket has been corroded and when I put in a new bulb it only lights a dim light. Does anyone know how i can change the socket its the wires I am having trouble with. There are two wires connected to the socket which are green and white. Could anyone walk me through to how i would disconnect these wires and place in a new socket? Thanks.
